Platform Overview
What LiveArch is, how standalone and Procore-linked projects differ, and how to get started.
What is LiveArch?
LiveArch is Beyer Blinder Belle's cloud-based platform for project information and construction administration. It gives project teams a shared place to exchange files, maintain current drawing and specification sets, issue Architect's Supplemental Instructions (ASIs), and coordinate Submittal and Request for Information (RFI) reviews.
Depending on the project, LiveArch may operate in one of two ways:
Standalone LiveArch project
- The CM/GC creates and manages RFIs and Submittals directly in LiveArch.
- Review, distribution, and tracking all happen inside LiveArch.
- The final response is returned in LiveArch — there is no other system to sync back to.
Procore-linked LiveArch project
- The CM/GC creates Procore-linked RFIs and Submittals in Procore and assigns them to the design team in LiveArch.
- Review, distribution, and tracking still happen in LiveArch — the review workflow does not change.
- The final response is written back to the Procore record automatically.
Procore-linked projects are covered in detail under Procore Integration.
LiveArch features and functionality
- Directory — look up the companies and people on the project.
- File Folders — share project files with project members or invited external recipients.
- Conformed set — view the latest drawing and specification revisions while retaining access to earlier versions.
- ASIs — record Architect's Supplemental Instructions and fold their revised drawings and specifications into the conformed set.
- RFIs and Submittals — create, distribute, review, track, and return records.
