Getting Started

A tour of the module rail and the patterns shared across modules, plus where to go for each one.

Overview

This page orients you to a LiveArch project once you have one open — the module rail, patterns shared across modules, and where to go for each one. For creating an account, signing in, or opening a project for the first time, see Platform Overview.

Watch first

The shortest possible tour: signing in, opening a project from the dashboard, and moving between projects once you have more than one.

Finding your way around

Every module in the rail follows the same shape, so learning one gets you most of the way to the rest:
  • A list view with search, filters, and Group By to narrow or reorganize what you see.
  • Export to download the current view — respecting its filters, grouping, and visible columns — as a spreadsheet.
  • Email notifications when a record is assigned to your company, becomes your turn to act, or is finalized.
  • A shared way of counting due dates and review periods — see Measuring Time for how calendar, business, and working days differ.

Where to go for each module

  • File Folders — a shared location for reports, models, reference material, and other project files, with internal and external sharing.
  • Drawings — the conformed set of project sheets: finding and downloading drawings, setting up records, and keeping the set current.
  • Specifications — the current project manual by section, with earlier versions preserved.
  • ASIs — Architect's Supplemental Instructions and how their revised drawings and specifications reach the conformed set.
  • Submittals — creating, reviewing, finalizing, and resubmitting Submittals, standalone or Procore-connected.
  • RFIs — raising, reviewing, and returning Requests for Information with a clear record for every question.
  • Settings — project identity, companies, users, links, and the Submittal/RFI/Procore workflow rules.
