Project Settings
One tab at a time: General, Companies, Users, Links, Submittals, RFIs, and Procore Integration.
Overview
Project Settings configures a single project: its identity and location, the companies and users on it, custom resource links, Submittal and RFI workflow rules, and — once connected — its Procore integration. It's separate from account- or company-level settings, which apply outside any one project.
Project Settings is available only to users with settings-management permission on that project. If a tab is missing, first confirm you're in the correct project, then refresh or sign out and back in. Contact a project administrator rather than requesting broad access solely to reveal a control.
General
The General tab holds the project's core identity: name, project number, start and end dates, an optional cover image, and the project's street address. Everything on this tab saves together with a single Save Changes action.
Companies
The Companies tab lists every company on the project, each with an inline memo field and a permissions preset that individual users can override. Add a company by searching the directory or creating a new one on the spot; each row also shows how many users belong to that company and links through to them on the Users tab. Removing a company revokes access for its users, so LiveArch asks for confirmation first.
Users
The Users tab lists every person on the project — their company, their access-expiration date, and whether they're notified when an RFI or Submittal is assigned to their company. Expiring or expired accounts are flagged so they're easy to catch, and a user's own permissions preset can override what their company defaults to. Add a user by searching the directory or creating a new one, the same way as Companies.
Links
The Links tab is a short list of custom links to outside resources the team relies on — Procore, SharePoint, a BIM 360 folder, the project website, and similar. Every project member can see these links; only project administrators can add, edit, or remove them.
Submittals
The Submittals tab sets the ground rules for Submittal review on this project: whether the architect is required as the last reviewer, the standard and complex review periods in working days, and priority limits that cap how many Critical or High-priority Submittals can be active at once.
RFIs
The RFIs tab covers numbering, staging, and review rules. Numbering can run as one project-wide sequence or a separate sequence per stage — but only before the first RFI is issued, since numbering can't be changed after that. Stages themselves are editable here, along with the required final reviewer, response periods, and priority limits, following the same pattern as Submittals.
Procore Integration
The Procore Integration tab is where a project's Procore connection is configured once the connector itself is installed — see Installation for that step. It walks through choosing a connection type, entering the Procore company and project, verifying support access, installing webhooks, and mapping Procore's Submittal response options to LiveArch's own. A troubleshooting panel and a project-level disconnect action are also available here.
Safe administration practices
- Test bulk changes with a small sample.
- Avoid changing response values on an active project without coordinating with project leadership.
- Confirm project membership before removing or deactivating a user.
- Use a test project to learn administrative tools when one is available.
- if the effect of a setting is unclear.
